I would recommend some books and excercises and whatever tools I could find to share to make your journey less stressful as possible.
BOOKS:
Mindset (By Carol Dweck)
This book is a very good tool to keep you guys going. It will change your point of view toward your life altogether. I will post briefly how it helped me in my life and may be that will help you in your lives.
Now I would try to help every men going through divorce based on my own personal life experience.
My View/suggestion:
- Indian women normally file compaints against men within a year of divorce like physical abuse, torture, dowry etc, mostly as per the suggestions of lawyers who are there to earn money and not the help get justice. All you men, please be pro-active and dont wait until she goes to one court and another and file compalints against you. If you have truth on your side, go ahead and provide the facts. dont be hesitant, male ego will not save your lives. Go ahead and tell the details and file the compalint before she does. if there is real abuse that would have been filed much before divorce proceedings started. Physical abuse cannot be hidden. In completely get it that sometimes women try to make it work as the men do to and in return they suffer. But IF TRUTH is something that prevails and if you know you (men) are truthdul and you have done nothing wrong, then dont be hesitant to hide any physical abuse (like consistent denial for sex, even after you are legally wed). BE PRO-ACTIVE
- This is also one the most important suggestions possible. You can only file divorce where you got married, not where you currently reside or where you are currently located. This is one the biggest mistake that most men make and then they end up re-filing the divorce. This in turn make them loose money and time twice.
